Which MSD coil should I use on a classic engine with a distributor (e.g. Alfa Romeo 33 carb)? Can the Blaster 2 be mounted horizontally?

For a distributor engine with a single coil we recommend the MSD Blaster High Vibration coil (8222). The Blaster 2 (8202) is also compatible, but it is oil-filled and must be mounted upright only; it cannot be mounted lying down. Send us photos of the current coil and distributor so we can design the ignition system. There is no plug-and-play wire set for most such engines, so we build one to measure.
