Which ignition upgrade is best for my stock (or lightly modified) RX-8?

For an engine with a stock ECU and bolt-ons (e.g. decat, exhaust manifold) the best value-for-money kit is AEM ignition coils with MSD spark plug wires. Anything stronger is unnecessary for that setup. For turbo or heavily ported engines we recommend the MSD Smart Coil kit.
