What trigger signal does the AEM 30-2853 Smart Coil need? Can I use it with an Ignitech box?

The AEM 30-2853 is an IGBT inductive "smart" coil with a built-in igniter that fires on the falling edge of a 5 V trigger signal. It can be used with ECUs or ignition units that provide a 5 V logic-level output, for example the Ignitech Ignijet 4-channel. For units that drive a plain 12 V coil (no internal igniter), you need a coil without igniter instead.
