My MSD distributor cap keeps getting damaged / crossfiring. I use MSD Atomic EFI to control timing. What's wrong?

If the Atomic EFI controls the timing, you need the MSD adjustable rotor (84211) to set the rotor phasing correctly, and the distributor's mechanical advance must be locked out. Incorrect rotor phasing causes the spark to jump to the wrong terminal and damages the cap.
