Ignition coils that their shape is deformed cannot be replaced under warranty. In case the body of the ignition coil has split out resin it also cannot be replaced under warranty.
Caution for RX8 owners!
Dear RX8 Owner, remember to disconnect the ignition coil whenever you are doing compression test. Disconnect the ignition coil from the 5-wire or 4-wire connector. Otherwise the ignition coil will be destroyed and there will be no warranty.

We race tailored the spark plug wires in a way to minimize power loss and electromagnetic interference. Each wire test and measures to avoid any issues.
The harness we give with the kit has been designed to offer high volume of electricity using high quality wires and a relay. The embedded fuse will avoid any short circuit problems.
The 4 MSD IGN-1A style ignition coils gives the most powerful spark for renesis engine. Check bellow the specs.
Finally we offer optionally (ask for a better price) a coil bracket to mount this kit on the stock ignition coil position.

TECH TIPS – DWELL SETTING
inch. To do this divide the engines horsepower by engine displacement in cubic inches. Once
determined, follow the dwell setting recommendations below.
- For street cars below 1.5 HP per cubic inch, dwell should be set to 4.0 milliseconds.
- For cars that exceed 1.5 HP per cubic inch, dwell should be set to 4.5 milliseconds.
- For long duration racing, such as road racing or off-road, dwell can be set to 5.0 milliseconds.
- For short duration racing, such as drag racing, dwell can be set to 7.0 milliseconds.
PINOUT
A: Coil Trigger (0-5V signal). Connects to individual ECU EST Outputs. EST A goes to cylinder 1, EST B to cylinder 2, etc. This uses a 5 Volt signal to trigger the coil.
B: Coil Trigger (Ref Ground). All grounds can be tied together and go to Pin B14 (“EST Ground Output”).
C: Ground to Cylinder Head. This ground must go to the cylinder head that the coil is discharging to. It is recommended to tie each cylinder bank together. Do not connect any other grounds to this point. Recommended gauge to use is an 16-18 gauge for each coil then tie them to a single 10-12 gauge wire.
D: Battery Ground. This is a high current ground that should go to the battery or a ground stud that is directly connected to the battery. Recommended gauge wire is 16-18 then tie to a single 10-12 gauge wire.
E: Battery Positive (Relay or switched ignition). High current switched +12 Volt Power. Do not connect directly to the battery. It is recommended to install to a 40 Amp relay source. Again use 16-18 gauge wire for each coil, then tie to single 10-12 gauge wire.
Super Conductor
The MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Wire is "the" performance wire.Engineered from the inside out, the 8.5 offers everything you have everwanted in a wire; incredibly low resistance without electronic interference!
The conductor is wound extremely tight around a special center core. So tight in fact, that there is over 40 feet of conductor wrapped into a single foot of plug wire. This winding procedure, combined with a ferro-magnetic impregnated center core, produces an extremely effective Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) "choke". This choke, or suppression capability, keeps the EMI inside the wire where it cannot interfere with other electronics on your vehicle. The outer sleeve that surrounds the conductor assembly is just as impressive. A proprietary blend of silicone and synthetic material produce a sleeve that is highly resistant to high heat as well as abrasion and tears.
