The evolution of the world's most popular stand alone digital O² sensor controller, the Innovate Motorsports LC-2 builds upon the legacy of the LC-1 by adding simplicity and leading edge technology. The LC-2 utilizes the only 100% digital wideband air/fuel ratio technology on the market! The LC-2's patented award-winning DirectDigital™ signal processing technology provides data on exactly how rich or lean an engine is running at any load. The LC-2's self-calibrating circuitry also compensates for changes in temperature, altitude, and sensor condition. The LC-2 includes a digital input/output, 2 full-programmable analog outputs, and is ideal for applications such as dynamometers, data acquisition systems, standalone ECUs, and gauges. The LC-2 can also be "daisy-chained" for cost-effective individual cylinder monitoring, and is fully compatible with our Modular Tuning System (MTS).

Caution!

This sensor does NOT have warranty in case you use it or install it.
Please try the sensor before you install it. In case you found that the sensor does not work properly please contacy us as soon as possible.

Correct installation of Lambda sensor.
In order to make the sensor last longer you should know the followings:

  1. The sensor should never be installed the sensor on the exhaust without power supply in case the engine is running.
  2. The ideal distance of sensor installation from the downstream is just before the catalyst.
  3. If the installation position is no more 50cm from the downstream please use a special bung to remove heat.
  4. If the engine is working with high EGT temperature (more than 800C) like the turbocharged engines. You should install the sensor at least 60cm away from the downstream and use a special bung to remove heat.
  5. To prevent collection of liquids between this sensor housing and sensor element during the cold start phase, the installation angle should be inclined at least 10 towards horizontal with the electrical connection upwards.

Customer Questions
What is the LC-2 Digital Wideband?
The LC-2 Digital Wideband is a stand alone digital O² sensor controller that utilizes 100% digital wideband air/fuel ratio technology. It provides data on how rich or lean an engine is running at any load and compensates for changes in temperature, altitude, and sensor condition.
What are the key features of the LC-2 Digital Wideband?
Key features of the LC-2 Digital Wideband include patented DirectDigital™ Wideband Technology, wideband O² compatibility with all fuel types, ability to calibrate O² sensor for maximum accuracy, integrated dual-color status LED, two configurable linear 0-5v analog outputs, and more.
What is included in the LC-2 Complete Lambda Cable Kit?
The LC-2 Complete Lambda Cable Kit includes the LC-2 Controller, Bosch Wideband O² Sensor (LSU4.9), 8 Ft. Sensor Cable, 1" Mild-Steel Exhaust Bung, Program Cable, Manual, and LogWorks Software.
What are the specifications of the LC-2 Digital Wideband?
Some specifications of the LC-2 Digital Wideband include operating voltage of 9.8V to 16V DC, operating ambient temperature range of 0° to 140° F, compatible sensor types Bosch™ LSU4.2 and LSU4.9, and more.
What precautions should be taken during the installation of the Lambda sensor?
During the installation of the Lambda sensor, precautions should be taken such as not installing the sensor on the exhaust without power supply while the engine is running, maintaining an ideal distance from the downstream just before the catalyst, using special bungs to remove heat if the installation position is close to the downstream, and more.
Which MAP sensor and EGT probes can I use with Innovate LM-2 / TC-4?
For MAP we often use the AEM 50 PSIa (3.5 bar) stainless sensor kit 30-2130-50 connected to an analog input. The AEM K-type closed-tip thermocouple is a compatible, lower-cost EGT probe for the Innovate TC-4. NTC temperature sensors can be read on an analog input, but you need to add a resistor (voltage divider) so the sensor gives a voltage signal. If a signal can swing negative, add a diode on the input so only positive values are read.
Can I use the Innovate LM-2 with Windows, see live data on my PC and log OBDII channels?
Yes to all. The included Innovate software (LogWorks/LM Programmer) runs on Windows (32- and 64-bit). You can view data live on the PC, and the LM-2 can log OBDII channels, but when logging many OBDII channels the sample rate is slow because of the OBDII protocol speed.
I need a wideband gauge that also provides a narrowband signal for my ECU (e.g. old Mini SPi). What do you recommend?
The Innovate solutions fit perfectly: either the MTX-L Plus gauge kit or the LC-2 controller with a DB-Blue gauge. Both display the wideband AFR and at the same time provide a simulated narrowband output for the factory ECU.
I only want to check whether my carburettor is running lean or rich. Do I need the LM-2?
No. The LM-2 is mainly for logging during real driving. If you only need to check the mixture from time to time to adjust the jets, an MTX-L Plus wideband gauge is enough and more affordable.
The 8-pin Molex connector of my Innovate LC-2 won't plug in or latch. What is wrong?
This is a known issue on some recent Innovate connectors: one or more pins inside the connector housing are not seated in their correct position. Push the pins back into position (a small pick helps) until they are aligned, then the plug will seat and latch. We have a short video showing the fix; ask us and we will send it.
