AEM 3 Channel Coil Driver
OVERVIEW
AEM's 3-Channel ignition coil driver for distributed and individual cylinder spark racing engine applications. The AEM 3-Channel Coil Driver is custom manufactured to AEM’s specifications by HUCO Electronic GmbH in their ISO 9001 facility in Germany. Specially designed by AEM for driving the high power dwell controlled ignition coils commonly found on performance engines. The 3-Channel Coil Driver is designed for racers who want to convert the ignition system on a 6-cylinder race engine to a Coil-On-Plug (COP) set up without using a CDI. They are ideal for ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles and racing vehicles with hardware space limitations.
The 3-Channel Coil Driver drives two-wire ("dumb") coils in COP applications, and can also be used as replacements for a stock coil driver.
WHAT IT DOES
AEM's 3 Channel Coil Driver is designed to drive two wire ("dumb") coils in coil on plug applications. It can be used as a replacement for a stock coil driver or when converting to coil on plug in engines that do not need the extra spark energy from a true CDI like the AEM Twin Fire.
