SPARKER TCIP4 is so-called inductive ignition (battery, transistor, TCI) with revolution and TPS regulation of the advance. This type of ignition is used for most multi-cylinder road motorbikes

We offer plug-and-play wiring harnesses for most compatible motorcycles. Contact us for pricing (average cost: €30).

Note: Certain motorcycle models require a jumper harness between the Ignitech unit and the factory harness.

SPARKER TCIP4 is so-called inductive ignition (battery, transistor, TCI) with revolution and TPS regulation of the advance. This type of ignition is used for most multi-cylinder road motorbikes. SPARKER TCIP4 ignition is prepared for many individual bike types. It can be assembled to practically any carburettor motorbike with stable dashboard voltage 12 V. CBR, CB, VF, GSX, VS, XTZ, TDM, FJ, XJ, LTD, ZX, EN ... motorbikes can be mentioned as an example. If the sensor system of customer`s bike does not comply with SPARKER TCIP4 ignition, it can be adjust by means of special settings.
SPARKER TCIP4 ignition is equipped with two inputs for pickup, input for throttle position sensor or inlet air pressure sensor, two multifunctional switch inputs (for blocking, kill switch, retard...), output for tachometer, two multifunction switch outputs (for fuel pump relay, gear shift light ...), outputs for servomotor.

Customer Questions
What is SPARKER TCIP4 ignition?
SPARKER TCIP4 is an inductive ignition system with revolution and TPS regulation of the advance. It is commonly used for most multi-cylinder road motorbikes.
Which bike types is SPARKER TCIP4 ignition suitable for?
SPARKER TCIP4 ignition is prepared for many individual bike types and can be assembled to practically any carburettor motorbike with stable dashboard voltage of 12 V. Examples of compatible motorbikes include CBR, CB, VF, GSX, VS, XTZ, TDM, FJ, XJ, LTD, ZX, EN, and more.
What if the sensor system of my bike does not comply with SPARKER TCIP4 ignition?
If the sensor system of your bike does not comply with SPARKER TCIP4 ignition, it can be adjusted by means of special settings.
What are the key features of SPARKER TCIP4 ignition?
SPARKER TCIP4 ignition is equipped with two inputs for pickup, input for throttle position sensor or inlet air pressure sensor, two multifunctional switch inputs (for blocking, kill switch, retard...), output for tachometer, two multifunction switch outputs (for fuel pump relay, gear shift light ...), and outputs for servomotor.
Should I choose the Ignitech Sparker Racing 3 or the TCIP4 for my classic bike (e.g. Yamaha XV1000/Virago, Honda CB500)?
For most road and classic bikes the programmable TCIP4 is the recommended choice, and it is cheaper. We have installed it successfully on a Virago. The racing versions are only worth it if you need race functions such as launch control, powershift/quickshifter or two maps. Send us photos of the stock ignition unit and connectors and we will prepare a plug-and-play unit with a base map.
I am converting a fuel-injected bike (e.g. BMW R850R, HP2, Ural EFI) to carburettors. Can an Ignitech unit handle the ignition?
Yes. Ignitech can supply a TCIP4 modified for the original pickup system (for example BMW 60-2 crank wheel or hall sensors on older BMW boxers), pre-programmed to run with carburettors, plus a reduced basic harness (pickup, +12 V, ground and coils). We need exact photos of the pickup system you will use. If you later change sensors, the unit may need reprogramming or replacement, so send photos of your final setup before ordering.
Can I use an Ignitech TCIP4 on a 3-cylinder two-stroke (e.g. Kawasaki KH) with a new pickup system?
Yes. You need a suitable pickup system: Ignitech can supply a pulse rotor (50 or 70 mm diameter) and IP6 inductive pickup, positioned 10° before TDC. The TCIP4 comes with a reduced basic harness, pre-programmed for your bike; the USB/COM cable is recommended. You can use the original ignition coils or Ignitech IC-TCI-S coils. The system works in wasted-spark mode only for the first few revolutions and then switches to fully sequential mode.
