The GReddy BOV FV is a new generation of blow off valve. The unique "Floating Valve" design incorporates a revised adjustable dual spring system, while maintaining the advantages of the previous models' push valve structure and silicone diaphragm control. The improved design makes spring preload setting less dependent on the idle, while providing better response, increased valve travel, more air-flow and added resistance to premature valve lift under all conditions. Also maintained is a slimer CNC outlet with discharge ports to draws surrounding air to amplify the blow-off sound, however this can be replaced with optional re-circulation adapters in various sizes.

1. Improved valve control under reving conditions

Traditional BOV - Reving/Idle

Previous models could have a tendency for the valve to open under reving at idle, which could cause a rough idle situation.

The floating valve design prevents unnecessary opening and closing of the blow off valve.Thus the idle is not affected.

2. Quicker response, even during low boost conditions

Traditional BOV - Low Boost/Off Throttle

To prevent the valve from opening at idle/reving, the adjustment spring must be tighten, thus resulting in decrease response for low rpm and low boost levels.

With the floating valve design, additional spring preload is not required.This results in a quick responding valve.

Operation Behavior

ON Throttle Situations (BOV FV Closed)

The combination of the new adjustable dual spring system and the intake manifold boost pressure (with large diaphragm to valve area ratio) provide great control to keep the valve shut even in high boost situations.

OFF Throttle Situations (BOV FV Opens)

Since the spring preload does not have to be adjusted for idle, thw lower spring rate allows the charge pipe boost pressure to easily open the valve faster and with more lift, once the intake manifold boost pressure changes to vaccum, when the throttle is closed.

Even with the throttle closed and the vaccum still pulling on the diaphragm, once excess boost has been expelled, the new lower spring closes the valve in preperation for throttle to be re-opened and boost to resume.The result is improved turbo boost response.

Sliding Top Cover

Adjustable Hose Fitting Position - Top Hat Rotation Top Cover

The new sliding top hat design, enables the user to adjust the hose fitting location without having to disassemble the entire blow-off valve unit. Simply remove three coresponding hex bolts and loose other three. Then slide the top hat to a desired position and re-install the hex bolts, to lock it into place.

90 degree fitting adjustment possible with the method described above.Repeat to rotate the top hat and hose fitting as needed.
