GReddy is proud to introduce a new generation of "Push Type Blow Off Valve," the GReddy BOV FV. The "FV" stand for Floating Valve, and it is this breakthrough in design that produces quicker valve response, increased valve travel, and improved resistance to premature valve lift and boost leak. The unique floating valve design incorporates a revised adjustable dual spring system and diaphragm ventilation, while maintaining the advantages of the previous model's push valve structure and heat resistant silicone diaphragm and valve ratio.
This allows the springs and diaphragm to better control the valve and boost. By relocating one spring under and keeping one over the diaphragm, it makes the need for spring pre-load less dependent on idle and light boost situations and more on keeping the valve closed under boost. The result is our best performing GReddy Blow-off Valve yet! Another improvement includes an adjustable, sliding top hat, to adjust the hose fitting location, without complete dis-assembly. The FV also keeps its overall mounting and outlet dimensions, which means it is compatible with the industry standard two-bolt GReddy BOV flange and can easily replace existing Type RS & RZ applications.

What is the benefit of the floating valve structure in the Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 CT9A Blow-off valve FV TypeBOV FV Kit?
The floating valve structure allows the springs and diaphragm to better control the valve and boost. By relocating one spring under and keeping one over the diaphragm, it makes the need for spring pre-load less dependent on idle and light boost situations and more on keeping the valve closed under boost. This results in improved performance of the GReddy Blow-off Valve.
What are the compatibility features of the GReddy Blow-off Valve FV TypeBOV FV Kit for Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 CT9A?
The FV maintains its overall mounting and outlet dimensions, making it compatible with the industry standard two-bolt GReddy BOV flange. It can easily replace existing Type RS & RZ applications. Additionally, it includes an adjustable, sliding top hat for adjusting the hose fitting location without complete disassembly.
Which fuel pump and blow-off valve do you recommend for a stock Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8?
For the fuel pump we recommend the AEM 50-1000 high flow in-tank pump. For the blow-off valve there are two excellent brands: GReddy (FV type and Type FV/BFV kits made for the Evo 7/8/9) and Turbosmart (Kompact Plumb Back 34 mm, which recirculates the air quietly, or Kompact Dual Port 34 mm, which gives part of the characteristic vent sound). All are original, reliable products; the choice is mainly about sound.
